Michael Jordan spotted wearing the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 ‘Cinnabar’

Michael Jordan spotted wearing the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 ‘Cinnabar’

When Michael Jordan is seen wearing a new pair of Jordans, the entire sneaker world immediately pays attention. That recently happened when the basketball legend was spotted in the upcoming Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 ‘Cinnabar’. During a visit to Disneyland, Jordan wore the unreleased pair, which was quickly noticed by fans and photographers. The photos appeared almost instantly on social media and sneaker pages such as Sneakerjagers, which quickly increased the hype surrounding this release.

For Nigel Sylvester, this marks another notable moment within his collaboration with Jordan. The BMX rider from Queens has shown over the past years that he is more than just an athlete. Through his projects, he combines sports, streetwear and personal storytelling, something that is also clearly visible in his previous sneaker releases.

Nigel Sylvester and Jordan

Sylvester has been working with Nike and Jordan for years. His first major project appeared in 2014 with the Nike SB Dunk High ‘Standing On My Pedals’. Several collaborations followed, including the Air Jordan 1 ‘Noise Cancelling’ from 2019.

In the years that followed, his role within Jordan Brand continued to grow. The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 ‘Brick by Brick’ from 2025 in particular made a strong impression within the sneaker community. The bold red colorway was widely discussed and even appeared on several “Sneaker of the Year” lists.

With the new ‘Cinnabar’ colorway, Sylvester now seems ready to continue that success.

The new colorway gives the Air Jordan 4 a fresh look. The sneaker features a light sail-colored base combined with red accents on the eyelets, wings and heel.

On the back, the well-known ‘Bike Air’ branding appears once again, a clear reference to Sylvester’s background in the BMX world. In addition, there is a mini Swoosh on the front of the sneaker, a detail that we have seen more often in his collaborations.

The mix of classic Jordan elements and modern design details ensures that the sneaker feels familiar while still bringing something new.

A detail that caught fans’ attention

Something else stood out in the photos of Michael Jordan. The tag was still attached to the sneaker while he was wearing the pair. Whether this was intentional or simply coincidence is still being discussed online. For many sneaker fans, the moment mainly shows that the release is getting closer.

Release

The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 ‘Cinnabar’ is expected to release on May 9, 2026 with a retail price of around €210. According to several sources such as Sneakernews.

Considering the success of previous Nigel Sylvester collaborations and the continued popularity of the Air Jordan 4, there is a strong chance that this release will once again attract significant attention within the sneaker world.
