Sabrina
The Nike Sabrina is the signature line of Sabrina Ionescu, guard for the New York Liberty. Her first shoe, the Sabrina 1 from 2023, was unisex from the start and was worn by dozens of NBA players. That makes the Sabrina one of the most striking basketball lines Nike has released in recent years.
Sabrina Ionescu and her Nike line
Ionescu played college basketball at the University of Oregon and was picked first in the 2020 WNBA draft, by the New York Liberty. In 2024 she won the WNBA title with that team. The same year, during NBA All-Star weekend, she took on Stephen Curry in a three-point contest.
Nike released the Sabrina 1 in September 2023, as the first unisex signature collection of a women’s basketball player at the brand. In the 2023-24 season, 77 NBA players wore the shoe, with Jrue Holiday as the first. The Sabrina 2 followed in 2024, the Sabrina 3 in 2025.
Design and technology
The Sabrina is a low basketball shoe for a quick guard who often stops and shoots. The Sabrina 3 combines a mesh upper with a midsole of Cushlon 3.0 foam and a Zoom Air unit under the forefoot. Laces with integrated cables keep the foot in place. Many colorways say something about Ionescu herself, from her favourite treat to her family.

Both are low and light. The Nike Ja is made for an explosive player and stands out with exuberant themes. The Sabrina is calmer, focused on control and shooting, and known for a close-fitting feel. How does the Nike Sabrina fit?
In length the Sabrina usually fits true to size, but it closes tightly around the midfoot. Many wearers find the Sabrina 3 a little roomier there than the Sabrina 2. With narrow or average feet you take your normal size; with wide feet, half a size up feels better.
