Supreme
Supreme x Nike is the partnership between the New York skate brand and Nike, responsible for some of the most collected sneakers in skate culture. Supreme is known for small runs and its red box logo, and that approach carries over to its Nike pairs. From the first SB Dunk to the Air Force 1 Low, the shoes are often understated, with one clear Supreme detail.
The history of Supreme x Nike
James Jebbia opened the first Supreme store on Lafayette Street in Manhattan in 1994, as a meeting place for skaters. In 2002 the newly founded skate line Nike SB chose Supreme for its first collaboration on the skate version of the Nike Dunk. That Dunk Low borrowed the elephant print and ‘Cement’ colours of the Air Jordan 3 and was released in small numbers.
In 2003 an SB Dunk High with stars followed, in orange, red and blue. Those stars returned in 2021 on an SB Dunk Low in four colours. In 2020 Supreme released an Air Force 1 Low in white and black, with the red box logo on the heel as its only decoration.
How to recognise Supreme sneakers
The key feature is the red box logo with white lettering, usually small on the heel or the side. That logo was inspired by the work of artist Barbara Kruger. On the SB Dunks, Supreme likes to use bold patterns such as stars or elephant print, while the Air Force 1 deliberately stays low-key.
Popular Supreme releases
These are the Supreme x Nike models WOOVIN visitors are looking at most often right now:
- Air Force 1 Low Supreme ‘White’: white leather with the red box logo as the only colour accent.
- Air Force 1 Low Supreme ‘Black’: the same shoe in black leather.
- Air Force 1 Low SP Supreme ‘Wheat’: a warm wheat colour, familiar from work boots.
- SB Dunk Low Supreme ‘Stars’ Black (2021): black with gold stars.
- SB Dunk Low Supreme ‘Stars’ Barkroot Brown: shades of brown with the star motif.
Supreme Air Force 1 or SB Dunk?
The Air Force 1 is the understated choice: a thick basketball sole, plain leather and just the box logo. The SB Dunks are bolder, have a padded tongue and came out in smaller numbers, which makes them rarer. If you want a pair for every day, the Air Force 1 is usually the pick.
How do Supreme sneakers fit?
Supreme sneakers fit like the model they are based on. The Nike Air Force 1 fits true to size but feels a little roomy; with narrow feet you can consider half a size down. The Nike SB Dunk also fits true to size, but feels fuller because of the thick tongue: with wide feet, go half a size up there.
Buy Supreme x Nike at WOOVIN
On WOOVIN you will mainly find Supreme x Nike as the Air Force 1 Low in white, black and Wheat, plus a small selection of SB Dunks with stars. If in doubt, the white Air Force 1 is the easiest to match; the SB Dunks are more of a collector’s item. The Supreme collab stock comes from verified stores that confirm the authenticity of every pair.
