Kanye West, the musician and designer, found inspiration in another popular sneaker of the time, the Nike 'Roshe'. However, he wasn't just inspired; he actually wanted to replace the 'Roshe' with his own creation, a sneaker that was dedicated to his unique style and vision.

The result of his creative vision was the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Onyx, coincidentally released at the same time as the 'Bone' colorway. What sets this particular 'Onyx' version apart is its entirely monochromatic look. The upper of the shoe, crafted from the signature primeknit material often used in the 350 V2 series. This is done entirely in a deep black color. A subtle horizontal stripe adorns the outer side of the shoe. Which is rendered in a slightly darker shade of black, creating a subtle contrast. This contrast adds a touch of visual depth to an otherwise all-black design.
